Become a Silver Business...


Our Business Growth Programme is aimed at our Bronze or Silver level members who want to become a Silver level member  or reinforce their Silver membership status. Our Programme is designed to enable you to pull together all the strands of your business and focus on what matters  and develop its full potential to create wealth and value. Over many years we have fine-tuned this process into just five developmental steps to be implemented usually within a 12 month period. This saves reinventing the wheel and sometimes never actually getting there. So, in short, this Programme gets on with making your business happen.

You and your business team will be assigned a BIG Tiger Coach who will oversee the programme and a BIG Specialist who will deliver the programme.  If they have not met before, all parties will initially meet for a half day introductory workshop  and arrange meeting dates for the next 12 months.  The programme follows our five step growth process and after each stage there will be a number of actions to complete in your business for discussion and review at the next session.

On successfull completion of the programme you will be awarded the Bronze level membership and add to your BIG profile.  

The considerable resource of BIG can be utilised at any stage to help assist, such as one-to-one coaching, workshops and evaluation input from our other Specialists and Tiger Coaches. The steps are illustrated above and summarised below:

Silver 1 - Strategy

To start this process it is necessary to complete our business assessment and find out where you are and where you want to go. This will crystallise current thoughts and processes, find out the good and bad bits and identify what will be needed from the ideal strategy.

Awareness of capabilities and resolve of yourself and others is the foundation for all business development. This module takes the character of a successful business and the team members.

Strategy development embraces a half day introduction and includes.

The programme builds on a step by step process and will review all documentation and develop a Business Strategy to include SWOT, Porters Forces Model, Branding, Marketing, Operational and Commercial Strategy Options.  On completion a Tiger Coach will sign off the Business Strategy with you.

Silver 2 - Forensics

A capacity to learn quickly and efficiently is a distinguishing factor of successful teams in business. Acquiring and maintaining this capacity in practice is, however, rare and is usually dependent on the presence of skilful leadership and facilitation. Knowing how to co-ordinate others’ efforts into an effective learning and problem-solving process is a skill in itself. Formal coaching tends to focus on imparting knowledge rather than actually teaching the skill of how to evaluate efficient and effective ways. This module fills that gap.  We turn the strategy into a business plan to achieve the vision.

The Business Plan will be compiled to include :

On completion a Tiger Coach will sign off the Business Plan.

Silver 3 - Planning

Management concepts, models and frameworks are important but not enough. Leadership and facilitation are ultimately skills, and to be deployed in practice, they have to be learned and practised. This module focuses on the underpinning skill for all managerial interactions, the skill of constructing and conducting useful and productive culture to implement a tested business plan.
We work with you to concentrate on the real business issues that matter because day to day distractions  have a habit of taking you off course.

You will come out of this module with new insights not only into your impact on others, but also how to react when others need confidence to take on the challenges ahead. You will practise how to make your own voice and contribution heard most clearly to achieve progress against the plan.

Silver 4 - Implementation

Once again the contribution of the leader is pivotal. This module is designed to give leaders and facilitators the repertoire of clues and indicators, plus the personal vigilance, to be able to re-focus people’s attention and energies on to what matters, when it matters. You will come away with a new understanding of the challenges of performance improvement and the management of change, which will enable you to make your presence as a leader felt in the most timely and appropriate way.

Developing the culture to succeed is the vital ingredient and is rarely understood, but we know how high it ranks in the pre requisites to have a successful business and how to develop it into results. Our 3 M’s really mean something and will bring success! The three M’s are BIG in business.

Silver 5 - Positioning

One of the reasons why effective teams are so highly prized is their capacity to think more powerfully than any individual could do. Yet the proposition that ‘more heads are better than one’ does not come true automatically. In practice multiple minds often produce more noise rather than more progress. One of the key skills for contemporary leaders and facilitators is to understand and be able to engage and elicit the necessary quality of thinking from groups of people to ensure results.

Your systems provide measurement on how the business is performing.   Key indicators on conversions, margins and top line sales are in place and how it makes the business a BIG business. We know with business the best time to look for problems is when there are none!  Planning ahead to take advantage of more opportunities does not take place if you are too busy for anything important!  We work with you to optimise current operations fine tuning for profitability. You start the strategic positioning process for expansion by choice and capability. This is an exciting BIG business!
